Palm Sunday.

Not quite our Sunday finest, but they were looking too cute to not take a couple pictures of them before church on Palm Sunday. Fawn and the children at church got to do a processional with palm branches before joining us in the pews. It was so sweet, and I loved that they were included in celebrating Easter.

Fawn finds Small Fry to be hilarious -- and I love this simple smile on his face while he looks at his baby brother.

Be still my heart.

Buck and I could not be more blessed.

Second Tee Ball Game.

After Spring Break and a rain out, it was finally time for our second tee ball game. Fawn was so excited to play a team. While he likes baseball in all its forms -- playing catch with Buck in the back yard, official practice, and games -- games are definitely his favorite. It is such a joy to watch him doing something that seems to bring him so much joy!

Couch Buck and Coach Whit. Buck is so lucky to have this guy helping him coach. Lots of dads (and even some moms) help at practice and the games too. Fawn reminds me that they are not the real coaches and that his daddy is the only real coach.

He loves fielding.

And Daddy says he's really good!

Love this action shot.

Throwing form.

So balanced.

Sweet Small Fry is his number one fan.

On Thursdays, he and I stroll for the beginning of practice and then he insists on watching Bubby play baseball instead of heading home early to start dinner.

Turbo speed.

Loved my spot at third base and watching him run in.

He's just the cutest.

Thumbs up.

He's a great little runner.

Check out the stance, if he isn't a spitting image of his daddy.

He can be a handle at the ballpark, but is also so sweet as he yells "Go Bubby Go Bubby Go Bubby Go Bubby". Sweet brother.

Made it!

Fawn's First Fun Run.

The Junior League's 5K for Kids was last Saturday, and as a member of the Community Council of the Junior League I was feeling some pressure to participate. It was a new location this year -- Regions Park! Plus, I wanted to check it out and support the girls who worked so hard all year to put the event together. I knew that running a 5K was out of the question; I just haven't been running much -- my hip is still acting up. But, there was a 1 mile Fun Run for kids that I thought Fawn would love.

On Friday after school, we ran by the Junior League building to pick up his race packet and t-shirt. He thought he was big time and was really excited for the race to happen. On Saturday morning, we got dressed for the race and headed downtown with Mimi and Pops (who had agreed to watch Small Fry while I ran with Fawn). Fawn was not as excited -- first very mad about having to wear the number on his shirt, then complaining about how cold and windy it was, then mumbling about hunger. I was thinking this isn't going to go well. He perked up a bit when he saw the baseball stadium and realized he got to run around the inside three times!

Grumpy face.

Perking up a bit.

It was bright and beautiful.

Then it was race time! Fawn and I were at the front of the line ready to go. I was a bit worried he would get steamrolled at the beginning since so many of the kids were much older than he was. But, he did fine. And, then he was off -- he would run really fast, what he calls "turbo", then slow down to a jog and then back fast again. He held my hand for some of it, and when we got by the crowd he really ran fast -- he must like the cheering! We only stopped to walk twice, maybe for a total of 30 seconds. I am so proud of my little runner and I had so much fun with him.

Fawn and Vulcan.

Fawn and the UAB Blazers mascot.

Success!

Fawn is so proud of his medal, which is cute. After the race we went to the other areas for jumpies -- a huge highlight of the day! I have to admit that I woke up with sore legs on Sunday. I am totally capable of jogging for quite a while. But, I do not often sprint -- his "turbo" speed. Wow! I could tell he was a bit sore too -- he said he didn't have leg cramps but his legs felt weird. It must not have been too bad though because he's already talking about his next race. Love this guy and love the fun things we get to do together!

The Hendersons Visit the Farm.

Kelly shared these pictures with me from our weekend together at the farm. So much fun, and great memories for the kids of spending fun time together! Buck and I try to be very intentional with spending time with friends and instilling in the boys the importance of friendships. This family is such a blessing!
Meal time was a MESS! But that's to be expected with five kiddos. So, we ate as many meals as possible on the dock.

Fishing time. The worms were a big hit!

These monkeys -- I was so worried one of them was going to fall into the pond.

Checking out a shooting house.

Fawn and Turner took a walk with Kelly and me down the pond road. It was a wet, messy, fun romp.

The Bad Boy Buggy -- a fun toy for boys of all ages (I'm talking to you Buck).

Sweet daddies, sweet babies.

More Spring Break iPics.

Ready to hike at Red Mountain Park.

Even the paths are gorgeous with all the colors from the minerals.

And, Photoshop would really come in handy when only one child will look at the camera at a time.

This little guy loves to "participate" but needed a lift for most of the trip.

Thank you Red Mountain Park for a great outing.

Our favorite breakfast treat -- Heavenly Donuts.

A little brother see saw action at Triangle Park.

Legoland Discovery Center -- Atlanta.

Waiting to enter the Lego Factory.

Is it sad that I CANNOT WAIT for The Lego Movie to come out on DVD? I'm especially looking forward to watching it with Buck; I think he will find it hilarious like I did!

Sweet brothers.

Both looking at the same time; a mommy-photography feat.

Ready to ride the Merlin ride.

4D movie time.

Not too sure about the glasses.

Now he's Mr. Cool.

Small Fry loved the toddler play area.

Spring Break Outtakes.

Umm...love this little guy.

This sweet dog is getting old, but he is so great with the boys.

He would stay in the backyard and sandbox for hours and hours each day.

Fawn loves Hannah.

The feeling is mutual.

These two can't keep their hands and paws off each other.

Hard at work in the sandbox.

Hank is pretty smitten with Fawn too.

These kisses must be in payment for Fawn's faithful dinner duty.

Fawn doesn't mind.

In fact he loves it.

A boy and his dog.
